The Office - Reasons to watch the BEST Sitcom

Sitcoms i.e. situational comedy have become a popular sub-genre for a few decades. If you don't know how to kill your time, sitcoms are the best option for you. And the best thing about them is, they never become outdated. Today, we talk about one of the best sitcoms of all time. Series like Friends and Seinfeld were one of the most popular sitcoms during the 1990s and set the bar pretty high for anyone who tries to establish their own. However, not only did The Office reach the already-set bar, but they exceeded everyone's expectations.

In 2005, The Office made its official debut. The series was presented as a mockumentary, which follows the day-to-day life of office employees. The sitcom lasted nine seasons and became a huge hit. It was led by Steve Carell, who did an amazing job to entertain us during the entire journey.

Why you should watch the office?

Highly Realistic

The sitcom follows the daily life of people working at a paper company - Dunder Mifflin. Every character in the series has a certain identity, which doesn't change during the entire series. Throughout the saga, we can see raw emotions of sadness, happiness, satisfaction, contentment, anger, embarrassment, and many other sentiments. The entire series is based on the incredible acting and reactions which were totally relatable to the audience. The 'reality' factor is what made the audience grapple with the characters and the entire storyline.

 Michael Scott

Michael Scott, the regional branch manager of Dunder Mifflin has been portrayed as a 'no-filter' persona. His crude humor is what makes the series entertaining. His stereotypical statements towards the Indian employee Kelly Kapoor and African American employee Stanley Hudson might release a gasp. Moreover, his offensive jokes towards Oscar, who is homosexual, might leave you wondering how did the series made it without getting banned for almost a decade. He is the whole and soul of the entire series.

The simplicity, dumbness and craziness is what makes The Office superior sitcom than others.
