Modern Family - A ludicrous yet valuable sitcom

Modern Family has been one of the best and funniest modern-day sitcoms. It is the closest situational comedies that come near classics like The Office and Friends. The series consists of three blood-related families, and every member with a unique and dominating personality. Phil and Claire Dunphy lead the series with their three children. Phil is a father who doesn't care about tomorrow and lives in the present. Contrary to that, his wife has been worrying about their abstract children, Haley, Axel, and Luke.

Claire's brother, Mitchel, is homosexual and is married to Cameron. The duo also doesn't resemble each other. While Mitchel is sophisticated, Cam never fails to show his colorful thinking and approach towards everything. Mitchel and Claire's father, Jay, is married to a Colombian woman, Gloria. This is Jay's second marriage.

Phil Dunphy's philosophies keep you hooked to the series throughout the series. His quirky yet innocent jokes will make you his fan from day one. His character stands out a bit, but no other character is given less thought than the others remaining. The character writing and its details are what made the series special. A harsh personality like Jay wouldn't tolerate anyone but his French Bulldog, Stella. His wife and son Manny try to stand against his ethics occasionally, but never against him.

Haley creates havoc many times in their family, mostly when her dim-witted boyfriend Dylan hangs out with them. While Claire tries his best to keep him away from her daughter, Phil's instant connection with Dylan makes sure he doesn't go far away. As the series develops, we can feel every bond get stronger and stronger.

Modern Family also deals with real-life problems that are rarely portrayed on-screen, but we often encounter in real life. Some funny, some may make you think about your life decisions. The series also focuses on social issues. Alex, an intelligent yet rebellious kid, fails to get along with other kids. Throughout the seasons, we see her conquer her setbacks. The sitcom shows, no matter the issue, family matters the most, and every problem seems small when we stick together.
